Uli-ECO, You’ll like it.
Unilong Group have operated in good faith the principle of positive, open up, after years of hard work, our brand ULi-Eco already received the honorary title in biodegrade material field. Our products have unique advantages in the market and enable to meet the individual needs of our partners. We already achieved product-related certificates including ISO9001, BPI DIN NTSQP, etc. There is a saying in the market “Uli-ECO, you’ll like it”.
Polyhydroxybutyrate PHB CAS 26744-04-7
PHB is produced by microorganisms, apparently in response to physiological stress conditions. It is mainly a condition of limited nutrients. The polymer is primarily a product of carbon assimilation (from glucose or starch) and is used by microorganisms as a form of energy storage molecule for metabolism when other common energy sources are not available.
Microbial biosynthesis of PHBS begins with the condensation of two acetyl-CoA molecules to produce acetyl-CoA, which is subsequently reduced to hydroxybutyryl CoA. The latter compound is then used as a monomer to polymerize PHBS. The PHAs particles are then recovered by destroying the cells.
ULI-ECO offers polyhydroxybutyrate with good biocompatibility and biodegradable properties. Insoluble in water and resistant to hydrolytic degradation. This distinguishes PHBS from most other currently available biodegradable plastics, which are either water-soluble or sensitive to water.
PHB has broad application prospects in medical materials, degradable plastics, disposable tableware, spectacle frames, packaging, sewage treatment, toys and other fields.
Agriculture: biodegradable carrier for agricultural films, long-acting pesticides and fertilizers
Medicine: Surgical sutures, elbow nails, bone replacement, blood vessel replacement Industry: packaging materials, hygiene products, diapers, optical active materials
In the field of medical materials, polyhydroxybutyrate can be used to prepare drug sustained-release carrier materials, tissue engineering materials, etc. In the field of packaging, polyhydroxybutyrate degradation products are mainly carbon dioxide and water, which is in line with the current green and environmental protection development concept.
Features and Benefits
1.Good oxygen permeability.
2.Uv resistance is good, but acid and alkali resistance is poor.
3.Soluble in chloroform and other chlorinated hydrocarbons.
4.PHB is biocompatible and therefore suitable for medical applications.
5.Sinking into the water (while the polypropylene floats) promotes its anaerobic biodegradation in the sediment.
